Two rowing teams nearly collided under the BU
bridge. The boat on the left was desperately trying to avoid hitting the bridge pilings and the boat on the right desperately trying to avoid the other boat.
One of the regatta participants walked along the Charles.
Food vendors abounded to satisfy almost every taste in fast food. The crowd was large and hungry.
Race officials occupied many of the docks along the race course.
Although most people on the shore were there for the race, some were just commuting.
He strolled out of the boat house making a fashion statement and looking like a Doctor Seuss character. He would be challenged on the race course to defend his fashion bravado athletically.

It was difficult to determine who was winning because all of the boats were racing against the clock. Still, you could witness the teamwork and the differing strategies from the shore.
As the regatta was happening, a group of Harvard food service staff who were on strike passed the regatta crowd.
It took some time after he set up on the manhole cover for people to take him up on his offer, but he soon had several takers, including me.
